With only 13 games into his NHL career, Connor McDavid got injured in yesterday’s game against Philadelphia. With averaging a point per game he’s been living up to the hype and has played a big part in the Oilers successes this year. Coach Todd McLellan explained that he’s out with “long-term” injury and added “I told him to keep his head up. I have a 19-year-old. I can’t imagine how he would feel if he was in the NHL for his first year and he got hurt.”
Connor slammed into the boards, was holding his left shoulder after the play and was seen later wearing a sling. Many are speculating that it’s a collarbone injury.
