It’s the holiday season which means parties, good food and a few drinky-poos.
Well, I have good news for you if you like to indulge in Prosecco over wine and spirits. A study from The University of Reading says drinking the bubbly stuff is actually good for you!
Prosecco, which is very similar to champagne, contains high levels of polyphenols. According to the study polyphenols, “appear to slow down the natural removal of nitric oxide from our blood, meaning that it will have a longer time to act on blood vessels and so improve the flow of blood around the body.”
This will result in lower blood pressure and lessen your risk of blood clots.
Just remember, you only get these benefits if you drink in moderation.
