When you think of modern day figure skating champions Scott Moir and Tessa Virtue probably come to mind.
But back in the 90’s everyone had their eye on another two skaters: Tonya Harding.
And Nancy Kerrigan.
The story of the attack on Nancy Kerrigan by Harding, which lead to her being banned for life from U.S. Figure Skating Association, dominated headlines in 1994. So, it’s not surprising that the story is now being turned into a Hollywood biopic titled ‘I, Tanya’ starring Australian actress Margot Robbie. See Robbie‘s transformation into Harding below:
There are currently very few details available about the biopic but the film’s IMDB page says it focuses on her rise, “among the ranks at the U.S. Figure Skating Championships, but her future in the sport is thrown into doubt, when her boyfriend intervenes.”
Harding‘s boyfriend will be played by Sebastian Stan.
