Amy Schumer is the cover girl for InStyle‘s ‘The Beauty Issue’ and she looks hot!
While most of InStyle‘s Instagram followers praised the cover, a swimsuit designer from Massachusetts named Dana Duggan slammed it. She commented via her account southshoreswimwear, “Come on now! You could not find anyone better for this cover? Not everyone should be in a swimsuit”
Users like shannonnolde tried to remind Duggan that “swimwear is not just for women who are a size 2” while others called her out for fat-shaming the comedian/actress.
“What's good about not being a model is that it's not the thing I trade on. Once I start looking older, that won't affect me. I have never gotten anything done because I'm, like, so gorgeous. I'm good-looking enough that I can work in the business. I get enough attention from men that I feel good. I see pictures of myself now, and I look younger than I think of myself. It hasn't scared me yet.” @JessSeinfeld interviewed @AmySchumer for our May cover and the results are powerful and, as expected, hilarious. It looks like despite hundreds of users condemning her comments Duggan is not convince she’s done or said anything wrong. “I am not fat shaming anyone. She is a self proclaimed Cabbage Patch Kid. She fat shames herself in her comedy routine”, the swimwear designer wrote on Instagram.
Despite a tough-as-nails reputation, @AmySchumer is the girl you definitely want in your inner circle. Just ask @JessSeinfeld, who interviewed her for our May cover. "Even though she is hugely famous, she is one of the most relatable people in show business and real life," Seinfeld writes. Something tells me none of this is going to stop Schumer from continuing to do her thing!
