I think a lot of us will put our happiness aside to put others first. Which is actually quite amazing of us but it can take a toll on our mental health. Personally speaking, it feels like there is always SOMETHING that requires attention or mental strength. That is not a complaint, just an observation. A lot of the list is things to do to reduce stress – plan outfits night before, have the same bedtime every night and wear a watch.
There were 2 things that stood out.
LAUGH more – it may just be a silly cat video or a TV show that makes you smile. Go have coffee with a friend and remember some of the good times. Even fake laughter signals to the brain that you are happy
READ MORE- This is something I stopped doing when life got busy. There just never seems to be enough time to get into something. That said, it was a great way to de-stress. Diving into a story of fictional characters and losing yourself for a couple of hours was always a great feeling. Perhaps it is fiction OR about something you want to learn about…reading will help with happiness.
