Last week, the music industry lost another icon, Chris Cornell. I am a pop music gal through and through but I used to love Soundgarden and Audioslave. Chris Cornell’s voice could not be matched by anyone.
While on tour, after their show in Detroit, Chris Cornell took his own life is in hotel room. He had battled with depression and anxiety in his life, but to those close to him, showed no signs of depression at the time. His wife spoke with him that night where he admit he took more of his anxiety meds than usual…and these meds did have some serious side effects.
All that aside – his wife wrote a beautiful letter to her late husband which was posted on BILLBOARD
In it…she wrote
I’m broken, but I will stand up for you and I will take care of our beautiful babies. I will think of you every minute of every day and I will fight for you. You were right when you said we are soulmates. It has been said that paths that have crossed will cross again, and I know that you will come find me, and I will be here waiting.
Sadly mental health issues continue to be the cause of many lost lives…if you know someone who is struggling try and talk to them…and if you are feeling in a dark place and alone…know that you are NOT alone and there are people to help.
