The future is here! Coming up on October 4th Matchbox Twenty will test out something that COULD revolutionize our concert experiences with the use of multiple cameras and virtual reality. The band has teamed up with SwivelVR to create the first ever “fan controlled virtual reality experience”. So, what the heck does that mean?
Viewers tuning into the concert to watch it live will now be able to control their experience by choosing different cameras, to view from any any angle. Want to focus on the drummer the entire time? You can do that, want to put yourself in the crowd? You can do that. Want to be right up front on stage? You got it!
It really is the ultimate fan experience, and if you want to take it up a notch from there, you can also use a virtual reality device to put yourself AT the concert and look around 360 degrees to experience it all. Virtual Reality isn’t necessary to view as it will be compatible with iPad, Apple Airplay with AppleTV, or a streaming dongle.
Check out how it works!
