Lights, camera, action! It’s time to get excited movie buffs because the Forest City Film Festival is taking over downtown London starting October 26th. It’s a ‘festival to celebrate and nurture the film industry in Southwestern Ontario honoring films and filmmakers from the area, showcasing new, compelling artists and inspiring future ones’.
With so many feature length films, shorts and documentaries it might be hard to decide what you’d like to see (in a perfect world I say see EVERYTHING!). So, I am here to help thanks to Dorothy Downs, the Executive Director, allowing me up to preview some of the festivals biggest films!
Love in the age of Like (8min) – “A young woman tries to decide whether or not to break up with her boyfriend because he doesn’t “like” any of her social media posts. SWO Connection – Director/producer from Windsor”
Laugh out loud funny or to fit in with the ’Love in the Age of Like’ crowd “LOL’ing so hard RN.’ This short is all about the way the digital world is shaping what we place value on in relationships and how ludicrous dating has become 2017. If he doesn’t like you on Facebook does he really like you at all?
The characters are frighteningly realistic and with an ending only a true Millennial could predict.
